The Cheapest Printers in Pakistan That Are Actually Worth Buying
'My budget is 15,000 — which printer?' is one of the most common messages we get, especially from students and small shops. The good news: PKR 16,500–20,000 still buys a proper laser printer that will print thousands of pages cheaply. The catch: the cheapest printer to buy is not always the cheapest to own. The printer you want is the one whose cartridge is cheap and easy to refill. These are the lowest-priced printers we stock that we would buy ourselves.

Best overall: Kyocera ECOSYS P2135dn
For about PKR 18,000 the P2135dn gives you what normally costs twice as much: 35 pages a minute, automatic two-sided printing and an Ethernet port. Kyocera's design keeps a long-life drum inside the printer, so the TK-170 cartridge is toner only and prints about 7,200 pages — the lowest cost per page in this list by a distance. It suits a small office, a shop or a student who prints a lot. The one downside is that fewer local technicians know Kyocera than HP.
Cheapest to buy: Canon LBP6030 and Samsung M2029
The Canon LBP6030 (PKR 16,500) is the lowest-priced printer we sell and a good one: 18 ppm, tiny, and the 325 cartridge has no chip, so refills are simple. The Samsung Xpress M2029 (PKR 17,000) is slightly faster at 20 ppm but its small 1,000-page MLT-D111S cartridge carries a chip that must be handled at each refill. Both are USB-only, print-only personal printers for one student or a home desk.
Cheapest wireless printer: Samsung ML-2165W
At PKR 17,500 the ML-2165W is the cheapest way to print from a phone or laptop without a cable, with one-touch WPS pairing. Its cartridge is small, so it suits light home use. If you want wireless and a bit more capacity, the Brother HL-1212W (PKR 21,500) has Wi-Fi Direct and a separate drum and toner.
The classics: Canon LBP2900B and HP LaserJet 1020
These two are the most familiar home printers in Pakistan, and the reason is their cartridges: Canon's 303 and HP's 12A are refilled in every market for very little. They are slow (12–14 ppm), USB-only and print-only, but they are simple and extremely reliable. For about the same money, the HP P2035 is twice as fast — see HP 1020 vs P2035 vs P2055dn.
What you give up at this price
- No scanner or copier — the cheapest all-in-one laser, the HP M1522nf, is about PKR 27,000.
- No colour — the cheapest colour option is an Epson EcoTank ink tank from about PKR 33,000.
- Mostly no duplex — except the Kyocera P2135dn; the HP P1606dn and P2055dn add it at about PKR 23,000.
- Small cartridges on the personal models — fine for home, not for an office.
Printers to avoid on a tight budget
Cheap new cartridge inkjets look like the cheapest option in shops, but their small ink cartridges cost a large share of the printer's price and dry out if you do not print for a few weeks. Over a year they usually cost far more than a used laser. Our cheapest printer to run guide does the per-page maths. Also avoid any cheap used printer with no test print, no page count and no return window — see what a used printer should cost.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest printer in Pakistan?
The cheapest reliable printers are tested imported mono lasers from about PKR 16,500: the Canon LBP6030, Samsung Xpress M2029 (PKR 17,000), Samsung ML-2165W (PKR 17,500) and Kyocera ECOSYS P2135dn (PKR 18,000), at Printerwaala in September 2026.
Which is the best printer for the lowest budget in Pakistan?
The Canon imageCLASS LBP6030 at about PKR 16,500 — an 18 ppm laser whose 325 cartridge has no chip and is cheap to refill. For a little more, the Kyocera P2135dn at PKR 18,000 adds duplex, Ethernet and the lowest cost per page.
What is the cheapest wireless printer in Pakistan?
The Samsung ML-2165W at about PKR 17,500 — a 20 ppm laser with Wi-Fi and WPS pairing. The Brother HL-1212W at about PKR 21,500 adds Wi-Fi Direct.
Is a cheap inkjet better than a used laser printer?
Usually not. Cheap inkjets have expensive cartridges that dry out between uses, so each page costs more. A tested used laser with a refillable cartridge is cheaper to own unless you need colour.
